So I am definitely trying to find some products for transitioning hair from relaxer to natural. Does anyone have any ideas?? I know that different products work for different people, but is there like a base product that works on every hair type with transitioning or is there something else I need to know. Thanks guys! Let me know what you think.
1. Do not bleach or allow anyone to bleach your hair. Bleaching severely damages your hair.
2. Do use a Denman brush or a k-cutter comb to detangle your hair. Start from the ENDS & work your way up; starting at the roots will cause breakage.
3. Do use protective styling every now and again….
Bantu Knots, I’m thinking my next style after my braids!

So as of right now I have been 7 months natural. I’m wearing some long pixie braids at the moment. I just came to the conclusion not to long ago I will continue the process of being natural. I’m really excited for the journey, and it’s very self therapeutic. I’ve Been doing some research and have cam across a couple of sites, and youtube videos that have featured natural women. I will show an update of my transitioning process as well as other women who have decided to go natural. Keep checking my new blog to see whats new!

Sooo I started a couple of months in college and my hair began to start growing back out. I really was not feeling the long hair look anymore. Idk it was just something about the short hair that drew me to it. It takes sass and attitude and being bold to rock a short cut. This style is pretty much the typical bob just short in the back and came out long on the sides. Thought I’d try something a little more different. At this point still not thinking about going natural.

Alright so you’re probably wondering why does this look like this. Yea I was trying to get the back of my hair back to I guess at least neck length, but instead one side started growing a lot longer than the other. So basically to fix this a major hair cut had to take place! (Looks a hot mess) Oh btw still not thinking about going natural, but my best friend Torri Allen actually is and she was actually one of my inspirations in starting this process! (shout out to her)

Yea not a reallly good pic, but the only one I could find. Soo this was the shortest cut I have ever gotten from the asymmetrical bob. I also decided to add some flavor to it and out color in the bangs as you can see and the back. This was December 2010 and a pivotal point in my journey because this was the last time I have gotten a relaxer! At this point I did not realize I was going to be natural it just sort of happened.
